Application:
The Svans solar storage tank is connected to a solar installation with or without battery storage to support or supply the hot water network. Example: When the battery storage system is fully charged, the solar energy is wasted or is sold at a very favourable price; in the evening, when hot water is needed, the electricity or gas is then bought back at a high price.
This is where the Svans solar storage system comes in, it stores the solar energy or the surplus energy and then releases it in the evening when it is needed, at a fraction of the price that an extension of a battery storage system or a battery storage system would cost, in addition, the Svans solar storage system stores the energy as it is needed, which makes it very efficient. It can be connected to any domestic water system and any solar inverter, with or without a 48-52 volt battery storage output.
The boiler is small and compact and can be easily installed or integrated into existing water systems. The tank is fully insulated (foamed) to reduce heat and energy loss, the water stays warm for 30 hours after the appliance is switched off. (Like a thermos flask)
When fully heated, two to three times the amount of hot water can be drawn off by adding cold water, depending on the input temperature.
Mode of operation:
After connecting to a solar inverter or battery storage tank and pressing the main switch on the front left, it lights up red (appliance is in operation) until the set temperature is reached via the temperature control on the right, then the indicator light in the switch goes out and the appliance switches off although the main switch is switched on (the set temperature is reached). This can be seen from the indicator light in the switch, which then lights up again for a short time. The power consumption is then approximately 0.5 A/h or 30 watts at the set 65° (ECO position)/depending on the ambient temperature.
Safety:
The shock-resistant and robust ABS plastic housing is non-flammable, as are all parts of the appliance. (including the insulation)
-The temperature switch and the associated probe switch off the appliance at a maximum temperature of 85°C. If this system fails, a safety switch jumps out. If this system fails, a second separate system steps in, a temperature fuse and the associated temperature sensor switch the entire appliance off at 92°C. (the second system works purely mechanically). (the second system works purely mechanically and does not require electricity).
-Due to the vertical design of the boiler with the connections facing upwards, no water can leak out if the installation is damaged and thus lead to the boiler overheating
